Go Flames! Can't believe with so much going wrong they are still in a playoff spot. JG no goals in 19 games. |

Its only like a 1.5 cap hit by the trade deadline. Most team's have cleared that much on LTIR alone.
Don't squash our dream of finding a GM dumb enough to give us a third for him. |

Totally agree Elliott was brought in to be the starter he's playing better keep him in. Never been a fan of flipping goalies, they're a finicky bunch that sometimes just need some leeway.
Brouwer signing doesn't bother me, he showed some feistiness against the Casucks, playing him on the pp ahead of Bennett does.
Hoe long are we going to have to wait to see Bennett playing on the wing with Johnny and Mony. It seems so simple.
When Widemans gone, Kulak will be called back up, agree it would be nice to see Brodie a decent partner. Hopefully they give him a shot before we over spend on another fa. |

Said this in the last post but he's handling the puck like its a hand grenade, 2 giveaways on the pp in the last 2 minutes of the game. |

Sometimes I feel the only reason Kulak isn't being played is so we don't risk losing him at the expansion draft
I think if you test him out with Brodie and he excels, thus solidifying him in the top 6 next year, he would definitely be grabbed
nothing else makes sense |

Yeah his defensive play has been brutal this year.
Maybe GG would be a fit to get his confidence back. He's in Tippett's doghouse.
Speaking of players in the doghouse: Acquiring Curtis Lazar would be rad. |

It's amazing how such a powerhourse division has become so middling. |

HEY TODD,
The Flames weren't in Nashville the last time they played, it was in Calgary and they lost 4-3 and by the way the game was in January so it wasn't a couple weeks ago. FYI |

Kings seem to be a shell of their former dominance. Seems like the game sped up and left Sutter behind. Flames are inconsistent and without the emergence of the 3M line would be fighting with Arizona. That leaves You (frank)ers, the Ducks and the Sharks. All 3 of which could make some noise if they are hot going into playoffs. |

Lazar would be sweet. But with Ottawa losing Hoffman, stone, ryan and wingels, they will he asking for a top 6 forward for sure. Lazar is definitely not living up to his hype, but given his age and potential Ottawa wont give him away for a bottom 6 player. I would not consider trading away the 3 m line, mony or gaudreau. So versteeg? Would have to be versteeg plus for sure considering he's a Ufa. Ottawas owner would love that contract because he is super cheap. But with us so tight in the race would trading versteeg away now actually benefit us? |

I hope Flames brass does not have delusions of grandeur. I know everyone who makes it in has a chance, but a lot of things have to start clicking for the Flames before they can even take glance at the 2nd round. Not trying to be a downer, just trying to be realistic.
I think if you can Flip Versteeg and a guy like Poirier for Lazar you do it. Crazy how many of Ottawa's top 6 went down in 1 game. |

I agree on the fact we have to be realistic and still have to build. But a guy can dream God dammit.
Ottawa would probably want a pick from us over a prospect. Sieloff didn't turn out so great for them |

get brodie back to his offside.
his backhand passes are lasers and as a left side D he lost his nifty little spin back that he used to do to reset.
If it ain't broke....don't break it.
Brouwer. not even sure where they could send him.

I was going to ask if anyone thinks he's much of an upgrade on Wideman? I was under the impression that he was basically Arizona's Wideman?
Maybe he'll be good on the bottom pairing, or look good with Brodie... |

He will look good for 3 or 4 games like most players needing a fresh start. You clowns will talk him up like he's a legit top 4 option and then spend 20 games defending his poor skills as ' getting used to the system'.
I know how you jabronis operate. |
